Dear Friend,

I’m pleased to invite you to my upcoming Walk & Talk event with the East Bay Regional Park District at Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area (2100 Isherwood Way, Fremont, CA 94536) on Saturday, September 3 from 9 – 11 a.m.

Walk and Talk

Dear Friend,

July is Park and Recreation Month! I was happy to cut the ribbon and celebrate the reopening of the California Nursery Historical Park in Fremont. The 20-acre park tells the story of the California Nursery Company and features historical buildings, majestic arboricultural resources, and displays of carefully preserved artifacts.

Boards & Commissions Workshop

Dear Friend,

Are you interested in getting more involved in our state government, but not sure where to start? Our office is hosting our Governor’s Appointment Workshop with State Appointments Secretary Cathryn Rivera from Governor Newsom’s office next Thursday. Information will be shared about how to apply to a state commission or board, what to expect during the application process, what it’s like to be appointed, and what your role might look like.

Dear Friend,

As a member of the Budget Committee, I’m proud to have secured $17,800,000 in state funding for local projects throughout Assembly District 25. This funding will go to support homelessness prevention and services, rebuilding a teen center, building an all-inclusive playground, and developing a landmark bicycle and pedestrian gateway.

Dear Neighbor,

Dear Friend,

I hope you had an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend and were able to reflect on those who made the ultimate sacrifice for us.

Last week was the House of Origin deadline, meaning all bills that originated in the Assembly had to cross over by Friday. Below are our bills that passed out of the State Assembly and are headed over to the Senate!

Dear Friend,

It’s been a very “buzzy” spring in the Legislature. During the brief spring recess, we held our first hybrid (both online and in-person) event: our Senior Scam Stopper Seminar to teach residents how to protect themselves from common scams. If you missed the event, you can watch the recording, review the slides, or share with friends.
