I hope you and your families are doing well. Things are starting to look brighter after a tough few weeks of storms, and many in our community are still rebuilding. I want to invite you to a tax preparation webinar our office is hosting with Senator Aisha Wahab and Golden State Opportunity next Wednesday, February 1 at 5:30 p.m.
We'll be covering things including filing your taxes for free, tax extensions, and flood and disaster special rules including deduction and disaster loss. Residents and businesses in both Santa Clara County and Alameda County affected by the severe winter storms are eligible. Spanish interpretation will also be available.

Unsung Heroes
Our annual Unsung Heroes event will be back in April and I need your help recognizing the unsung heroes of Assembly District 24! Members of our community are working hard every day and don't often get the recognition they deserve. I am asking you to nominate an Unsung Hero who has volunteered their time or stepped up tremendously to make our community a better place.
Sunol Cleanup
Our community in Sunol suffered extensive damage from the recent floods. Please join us for a Sunol Glen Flood Damage Clean Up Day on Saturday, February 4. There are different shifts available throughout the day. Projects may include wiping down play structures, moving fallen debris, raking the field and shoveling mud. Please wear boots or shoes that you are comfortable getting dirty.
Finally, I wanted to thank everyone that attended our town hall earlier this month! It was great seeing many of you in-person, and thank you to all those that voted on their bill priorities!
