The National Weather Service is reporting a Flood and High Wind Watch in effect from Wednesday, January 4 through Thursday afternoon, January 5, 2023. Please be advised and be ready to brace for the next few days.
Potential Impacts
- Widespread moderate to heavy rain
- Potential flooding of urban areas, rivers, streams, and creeks
- Shallow land, mud, rockslides are possible
- Strong and gusty winds
- Downed trees/branches and road blockages
- Scattered to widespread power outages

Fremont sandbag locations: Maintenance Yard (42551 Osgood Rd.), Fire Station No. 5 (55 Hackamore Ln.), and Fire Station No. 10 (5001 Deep Creek Rd.).
If dangerous flooding conditions are imminent, avoid driving a vehicle if possible. Do not attempt to drive or wade through deep pockets of water or running washes.
Crews are currently out working and doing everything they can to assist and will be followed closely by cleaning up the damage.
