Our office is hosting our first Boba and Bills event at Toco Toco located at 1694 Berryessa Rd, San Jose, CA 95133 on Saturday, October 23 from 3 PM - 4 PM. Please RSVP in advance below or by calling (408) 262-2501.

We recently wrapped up the legislative session for the year, and I’d like to provide you an update about what’s been happening in Sacramento! In my first year, we passed 7 bills that I authored, including bills to make Milpitas and Berryessa BART stations safer, protecting mobile home residents, and preserving the public's ability to participate in government meetings remotely.
Please join me for a legislative update town hall where I’ll discuss the State Budget, important bills from this session, what they mean for our district, and California as a whole. I’ll also answer any questions you might have. You can pre-submit your questions when RSVPing or ask your question during the event.
Hope to see you there!

As you may know, California is facing an increase in COVID cases due to a more transmissible variant. Both Santa Clara County and Alameda County are making changes in COVID safety precautions and requirements to combat the rise. Although the pandemic is ongoing and ever-changing, our office is hosting a townhall to clarify what this means for safety guidelines, variants, booster shots, etc.
Please join my office, Alameda County Supervisor Richard Valle, and Santa Clara County Supervisor Otto Lee for a townhall about COVID-19 and recent developments. County Public Health Officers from both Alameda County and Santa Clara County will provide up-to-date information and answer any questions you might have about the variant, the updated COVID safety guidelines, the vaccine booster shot, what FDA approval means for our district, and more. Hope to see you there!

California is facing the toughest drought we have seen in years. Both Santa Clara County and Alameda County are facing ‘extreme’ and ‘exceptional’ droughts respectively and this is compounded by Anderson Dam having been drained for earthquake safety. This has led to spiking demand for water and major pushes for conservation.
Please join my office, Santa Clara Valley Water, Alameda County Water District, the CA Department of Water Resources, and the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency for a town hall about the drought and water conservation on Wednesday, August 18 at 4:00 pm. Attendees will learn tips on how to conserve water, conservation programs available to the public, and the severity of the drought.
Every year, wildfires burn millions of acres and thousands of structures in the United States. California had one of the worst fire seasons on record last year, with parts of Assembly District 25 forced to evacuate during the SCU Lightning Complex fire. Wildfire season has already affected some parts of the state this month. As we are especially vulnerable here in California, we will need to be vigilant and prepare early.
Please join my office, Councilmember David Cohen (San Jose District 4), CAL Fire's Santa Clara Unit, and the California Insurance Commissioner's Office for a townhall about wildfire preparedness on Monday, July 26 at 2:00 pm. Attendees will receive updates from CAL Fire's Santa Clara Unit on their efforts to combat wildfires and receive resources that are available from the California Insurance Commissioner's Office.
As your Assemblymember, I’m pleased to invite you to my upcoming Virtual Community Office Hours for Santa Clara residents:

Join us for an Emergency Preparedness Training on June 25 at 12 pm that my office will be co-hosting alongside Assemblymembers Bill Quirk, Ash Kalra, Marc Berman, and Senators Bob Wieckowski, Josh Becker, and Dave Cortese.
As you know, last year, California had one of the worst fire seasons on record. South Bay, East Bay, and Peninsula communities suffered through some of the biggest wildfires in our State’s history. This year, we are told the wildfire season may begin as early as July.
This training will educate you about preparing in advance for events like wildfires, earthquakes, Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS), and other emergencies to keep you and your family safe.
