Today, Assemblymember Alex Lee introduced AB 2367 to increase awareness of the critical services provided by the California School for the Deaf - Fremont (CSD). In recognition of CSD’s invaluable work to Deaf and Hard of Hearing children, the bill will direct the California Department of Transportation to create directional highway signs for CSD.

The Governor has signed 11 bills authored by Assemblymember Alex Lee, legislation that promotes traffic safety, housing development, environmental justice and more. 

Assemblymember Alex Lee has secured $2 million from this fiscal year’s state budget to help Newark revitalize the Old Town neighborhood and develop the city’s first resource center.

A bill to establish an Environmental Justice Advisory Committee under the Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) has been signed by the Governor. With the passage of AB 652, which is authored by Assemblymember Alex Lee, the committee will be created to ensure that community members who are disproportionately exposed to pesticides can meaningfully offer their input on the use of pesticides.

A bill to improve pedestrian, cyclist and driver safety, which is authored by Assemblymember Alex Lee, has been signed by the Governor. 

AB 413 will make it easier for everyone on the street to see oncoming traffic by keeping 20 feet of an intersection or crosswalk’s approach side clear of stopped vehicles—a safety measure known as daylighting.
