Assemblymember Alex Lee has released the following statement in response to the Governor's veto of AB 2382:
It’s extremely disappointing the Governor has decided to veto AB 2382. This modest reform would have made significant strides in protecting both our ecosystems and human health. By requiring new lights installed on state buildings to turn off automatically or have external shields, this bill would have protected our night skies and migratory species, while reducing wasteful and unnecessary electricity consumption.
