I hope you and your family are safe and well. On January 29, Governor Newsom signed SB 91: the COVID-19 Tenant Relief Act into law. The bill extends the eviction moratorium to June 30, 2021 and establishes the State's Emergency Rental Assistance Program to provide financial relief for our landlords and tenants. I want to invite you to a townhall my office is hosting with San Jose City Councilmember Magdalena Carrasco to break down these new protections and what it means for you. The townhall will take place on Monday, March 8 at 5:30 pm. We'll be sharing information about the new law, the assistance program, how you can apply, and answer your questions.
