Dear Friends,
I'm pleased to invite you to our Emergency Preparedness Workshop and Walk & Talk events in late October.
At the Emergency Preparedness Workshop, you will learn about ways to prepare for emergencies such as wildfires, earthquakes and Public Safety Power Shutoffs. California is becoming more prone to natural disasters. The South Bay and East Bay communities have seen some of the biggest wildfires in the state's history. It is critical to keep our family and ourselves safe.
Co-hosts of the workshop include the Alameda County Sheriff's Office of Emergency Services, California Governor's Office of Emergency Services, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, American Red Cross Northern California Coastal Region, and Independent Living Resources of Solano & Contra Costa Counties.
The event will take place at Sunol Glen School (11601 Main St, Sunol, CA 94586) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023. Please RSVP in advance below or by calling (408) 262-2501.
For the Walk & Talk event at Ardenwood Historic Farm (34600 Ardenwood Blvd, Fremont, CA 94555) on Sunday, October 29 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m., I hope to connect regarding issues important to you, and provide assistance with state or local matters. We'll also learn about the history of Ardenwood Historic Farm from East Bay Regional Park District's staff.
Please RSVP in advance below or by calling (408) 262-2501.
Sincerely,
Alex Lee
