Bill To Streamline Train Electrification Projects Passes First Policy Committee

Assemblymember Alex Lee has introduced legislation to streamline the expansion of green public transportation infrastructure. AB 2503 would enable transit agencies to more rapidly electrify their fleets, improve rail service and cut emissions. The bill passed the Assembly Natural Resources Committee on April 8, 2024.

Assemblymember Alex Lee Introduces Legislation To tackle LBGTQ+ inequalities

Today, Assemblymember Alex Lee introduced AB 3031 to address the inequities and barriers faced by LGBTQ+ community. AB 3031 will create the LGBTQ+ Commission with the goal of improving the health, safety and wellbeing of LGBTQ+ community members. The LGBTQ+ Commission will monitor state legislation, and assess programs and policies affecting the LGBTQ+ community. 

Bill To Ban Corporations From Buying Single-Family Homes for Use As Rentals Introduced by Assemblymember Alex Lee

Today, Assemblymember Alex Lee introduced AB 2584 to protect California’s limited supply of single-family homes, and ensure that residents have the opportunity to become homeowners. The legislation proposes to prevent institutional investors that own more than 1,000 single-family homes from purchasing additional properties and converting them into rentals.
