AB 2949 has crossed out of the Assembly (73-0) with bipartisan support and bipartisan co-authorship.

AB 2053, the California Social Housing Act, passed out of the Assembly and is now headed to the Senate.

Yesterday, AB 2031 by Assemblymember Alex Lee (D-San Jose) passed out of the Assembly with bipartisan support. AB 2031 ensures mobilehome residents can bring a representative, such as a mobilehome advocate,  interpreter, or attorney to meetings with park management to ensure residents have the proper support to navigate complex issues.

Yesterday, AB 1944 by Assemblymember Alex Lee (D-San José) passed out of the Local Government Committee and is now headed to the Assembly Floor.

By now I’m sure you’ve heard the horrendous news. The Supreme Court is set to overturn Roe v. Wade and do away with the bodily autonomy of women and pregnant people. Here in California, we won’t be standing idly by. We’ve proposed a constitutional amendment to enshrine the right to choose in our state constitution to codify and protect reproductive rights.

To commemorate Silver Star Service Banner Day, Assemblymember Alex Lee is celebrating the passing of AB 2949 out of the Transportation Committee as well as the Military and Veterans Affair Committee.

Yesterday, AB 1819, the “Stop Foreign Influence in California Elections Act” passed out of the Elections Committee and is now headed to the Appropriations Committee. The bill prohibits foreign influenced corporations from contributing to candidates, parties, or committees (including super PACs) in order to protect the integrity of California’s self-governance.

Earlier this week, AB 2382, to promote the safety of migratory birds, insects, and people passed out of the Business and Professions Committee with bipartisan support.

Today, AB 2053, the Social Housing Act, received the stamp of approval from the Housing and Community Development Committee and will be moving to the Appropriations Committee.
