SACRAMENTO – At a special event held by the Public Policy Institute of California, and attended by hundreds of non-profits and foundation leaders from across California, Assemblymember Marc Berman (D-Palo Alto), Chair of the Assembly Select Committee on the Census, emphasized why it is imperative that every Californian is counted in the 2020 Census.

SACRAMENTO — Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood) today announced the appointment of Efrain Escobedo to the California Complete Count Census Committee.

“Every Californian needs to be counted by the census, and it will take cooperation on every level of government and coordination with community-based organizations to do that,” Rendon said. “I know Efrain has the experience and tenacity to get this critically important job done.”

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the creation of the California Complete Count Committee, a statewide panel of community members that will guide California’s outreach for the 2020 federal census.

“It is vitally important for California to do everything it can to ensure that every Californian is counted in the upcoming census,” said Governor Brown.
